Kate & Stuart’s Wedding – 30th May 2009

A beautiful wedding on a beautiful day at Packington Moor in Lichfield. The weather has been so kind to all the couples whose weddings I have photographed so far this year – and let’s hope it continues!!! Kate looked amazing and her bridesmaids wore gorgeous teal coloured gowns. Kate and Stuart had planned everything so carefully right down to the last detail and everything went just beautifully. All of Kate’s bridal preparations took place in one of Packington’s beautiful cottages and their civil ceremony was followed by their wonderful reception – all at Packington Moor. Weddings like this, where everything is at one location are so welcomed by any photographer.

Charlotte & Declan’s Wedding - 23rd May 2009

Another beautiful May day for the gorgeous wedding of Charlotte and Declan. Their ceremony was held at the really contemporary looking Our Lady of the Wayside Church in Solihull, so different to any church I have photographed in before. They then travelled by open topped Rolls Royce to celebrate with their families and friends at Hogarths, also in Solihull. Charlotte looked amazing, her beautiful gown was complimented by a fabulous lily bouquet – just so elegant. Charlotte and Declan booked with me almost 2 years ago and it is just so lovely to see all their wedding plans finally come to fruition. What a great couple with really lovely families who all made me feel so welcome.

Lisa & Dan's Pre Wedding Shoot

A great pre-wed shoot in the lovely Spring sunshine with Lisa and Dan at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. They are really lovely couple and we had a great afternoon just wandering around the gardens, chatting and getting some really gorgeous, relaxed, natural shots. I love this location for shoots and it is obvious that Lisa and Dan do as well. They have chosen the Botanical Gardens as the venue for their wedding reception which follows their marriage ceremony at the stunning Shrugborough Hall later this Summer. Another fab wedding which I am really looking forward to, as it is so nice working with such lovely couples.

Real Life Wedding – Perfect Wedding Magazine

Great news again this month!!! Perfect Wedding Magazine have chosen another of my weddings to be featured in the June issue of their fabulous magazine. This is the third wedding of mine that has been featured in 'Real Life Weddings' in the past six months and it is such a compliment. I’m so pleased and I know that my couple – Emma and Steve will be over the moon!!! I photographed their wedding aboard a gorgeous yacht in Cyprus last September - my first destination wedding and I absolutely loved it.

Tristam - Lifestyle Portrait Shoot, Ilkley, Yorkshire

Another journey up the motorway to Yorkshire on Wednesday for a lifestyle portrait shoot during the half-term holidays with Tristam. I have been to Yorkshire several times in the last few months for weddings, pre-wed shoots and portrait shoots and I think I've actually picked up a bit of a Yorkshire accent!!!. Tristam is such a great teenager and he really enjoyed the shoot, whereas most teenagers have usually reluctantly agreed to ‘suffer’ a shoot because their parents have insisted!!! He was a pleasure to meet and to photograph, and what a talented young man. I used to play the violin but after talking to Tristam and hearing him play, it puts my playing to shame!!!

Kerry & Peter's Wedding - 2nd May 2009

A beautiful May day for the wedding of Kerry and Peter. The ceremony was held at the fabulous St. Chad’s Cathedral in the centre of Birmingham, and just to add to the splendour, Kerry’s cousin was the priest who conducted the service and their eldest son was an alter boy. They also received a wonderful surprise from the Vatican, a special blessing from the Pope - how cool is that ! As I mentioned in an earlier blog entry, Peter’s family are originally from Scotland and 25 male members of his family wore kilts. After their beautiful ceremony, Kerry, Peter and their guests travelled to New Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield for their celebrations. Everyone had a fabulous day and the although the guests in kilts were an awesome sight, nothing compared to just how beautiful Kerry looked – she was stunning. Truly a wedding to remember.

The Further Adventures of Dylan

Dylan "my puppy" has been the talk of all my friends and clients for weeks now and I have been promising to post some new photos of him. He is now 16 weeks old and he has grown so much recently. He is definitely a proper little character now, really showing his own personality, sulking when he has been told off and crying when I have to go to work. He is absolutely into everything, he especially loves chewing my dining room furniture and tearing up the pansies in the pots at the bottom of the garden!!! The trouble is that he only has to look at me with those puppy dog eyes and I can't stay cross with him for long (take a look at pics 2 & 3 - see what I mean!!!)

Gemma & Jamie’s Wedding – 25th April 2009

My second wedding this weekend and another beautiful sunny day after quite a showery start. Gemma and Jamie were married at the the lovely Blackbrook House in Derbyshire. I think I called it a ‘little jem’ in an earlier blog entry, and a jem it certainly is – it’s just gorgeous! It was such a lovely ceremony and I got to meet up with Gemma’s little nephew Oliver again. I was lucky enough to do a portrait shoot with Oliver last year (followers of my blog may recall the adventures of Oliver and Indie the dog!) It was lovely to see him again and hear all about Indie – Oliver has grown so much. Back to wedding mode now! – Gemma’s dress was stunning and her bridesmaids wore gorgeous cerise pink. Each and every Bride’s gown this year has been so different in style and yet they have all been so beautiful. I love to photograph weddings, but think that perhaps had I not been a photographer I would have loved to own a beautiful bridal boutique. My lovely friend Bev owns a gorgeous bridal boutique called ‘Honey Cole’ in Abbots Bromley and I just love it there!!

Esther & Lee’s Wedding – 24th April 2009

It was a beautiful sunny April day for the wedding of Esther and Lee on Friday. Their wedding ceremony took place at St. Chad’s Church in Lichfield and was followed by a reception at Swinfen Hall. Esther looked just like a princess in an absolutely gorgeous dress which had masses of floaty skirt and a beautiful train. Her two bridesmaids wore teal coloured dresses and her little flower girl Hannah wore a white ballerina style dress with a teal sash – girls you all looked fabulous. Esther and Lee’s evening celebrations were made complete by a wonderful surprise firework display. The happy couple are currently honeymooning in New York and Mexico.

Louisa & Stuart’s Wedding – 18th April 2009

I had the great pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Louisa and Stuart last weekend. The weather was lovely, the ceremony was beautiful, the reception venue was stunning and Louisa and Stuart have to be two of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet – what a fabulous day! Their wedding ceremony was held in the private chapel of Abbots Bromley Girls School, where Louisa was once a pupil, and their reception was at the stately Somerford Hall. Louisa and Stuart are now honeymooning in the sun, but before they left, they found the time to send me a really lovely email. Tom & Sam - Lifestyle Portrait Shoot

Another great portrait shoot last week. This time I travelled up to Derby to meet up with teenage brothers Tom and Sam. Both are very sporty young men and they love the great outdoors. Tom who is 17 years old was even recently amongst an expedition who climbed Mount Everest!!! This really puts the mountaineering attempts that I made earlier this year at Bradgate Country Park (see an earlier blog entry) to shame!!! It is so refreshing to meet such fab young people who spend their time striving to achieve such great heights (no pun intended!)

Ellie – Lifestyle Portrait Shoot

I loved meeting up with Ellie for her portrait shoot in Warwickshire last week, and what a really lovely, talented young lady she is! She was such a natural in front of the camera and a pleasure to photograph. Ellie is very musical indeed, playing a number of instruments and is also a chorister at an prestigious cathedral school. I think that her sunny character really shines through in these images and I hope that Ellie and Mum love them!

Becky & Adrian's Wedding - 11th April 2009

What a wonderful wedding and one I’m certainly going to remember! Becky was an absolutely stunning Bride and her dress has to be one of my all time favourites. Becky and Adrian’s wedding took place at the beautiful Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire, a venue I had not photographed at before, and one I hope to be able to shoot at again as it is just fabulous! Becky and Adrian both live and work in London but are originally from the Midlands, and chose to return near to home for their wedding. Becky works for a radio station and Adrian is an actor, writer and stand-up comedian. Adrian and his best man Tom, gave what has to be the funniest speeches I have ever heard at a wedding – but as they are both comedians then I should have expected nothing less! The wedding went like an absolute dream and during the evening celebrations Becky and Adrian were treated to a very special surprise – a display of beautiful Sky Lanterns. This is the first time I had actually seen these personally, and what a truly magical sight they were, and quite emotional to see! Becky and Adrian are honeymooning in Borneo and I can’t wait to show them their wedding day pics, on their return.

Alison & Dean Pre Wedding Shoot - Kingsbury Water Park

We had to rearrange Alison and Dean’s Pre-Wedding Shoot because of bad weather, and decided to reschedule it for Easter Monday. We hadn’t banked on there being quite so many people wanting to go to Kingsbury Water Park in Warwickshire at the same time as us though! Once we were inside the park however it was a different story as there are so many woodland walks and lakes to wander off to, and we had plenty of space for our shoot. Alison and Dean were a little nervous about the prospect of their shoot, but they soon relaxed and by the end they said that they had really enjoyed it. I am photographing Alison and Dean’s wedding at Packington Moor in July, when Packington will be at it’s most beautiful, so one I’m really looking forward to.

Kerry & Peter (& Family) - Pre Wedding Shoot

On Tuesday I met up with Kerry and Peter whose wedding I am photographing in May. We wandered through the grounds of New Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield, their reception venue, with their children Logan and Hennessey and Kerry's mom and had a really great family shoot. Kerry and Peter’s wedding ceremony is being held at the magnificent St. Chad’s Cathedral in Central Birmingham. I just can’t wait to photograph inside the Cathedral as it is just beautiful! Kerry and Peter’s wedding is certainly going to be a fantastic event. They will be celebrating with over 200 guests, and as Peter’s family are from Scotland, there will be 25 of his male family and friends wearing kilts!

Nikki and Doug – Pre Wedding Shoot – Yorkshire

A couple of weekends ago I travelled to Leeds to meet up with Nikki and Doug for their pre wedding shoot. They are such a great couple and we had a really fun afternoon in and around Leeds. We wandered around the city and paid a visit to the Victorian Quarter. Nikki introduced me to her most favourite shop in the world, “Rose & Co”. What a magical shop, full of gorgeous lotions and potions and some fab fifties inspired clothes. The girls at Rose & Co were just great and they let us use their wonderful shop for some of our photographs. I couldn’t wait to check out their website when I got home that evening!!!

I am photographing Nikki and Doug’s wedding later this year at the exquisite Fawsley Hall in Northamptonshire. This will be my first wedding at this venue and I am so excited at the prospect, and with a great couple like Nikki and Doug, I know it’s going to be a favourite of mine.

Hannah and Emily – Lifestyle Portrait Shoot – Glastonbury

Another very busy week for me this week!!! My first portrait shoot of the week was on Tuesday in Glastonbury. I travelled down to the West Country for a Lifestyle Portait Shoot with Hannah and Emily, two fab teenage sisters. We had a really fun shoot and spent most of the afternoon laughing, as the girls enjoyed nothing better than giving each other the giggles. Having so much fun in natural settings produces such nicer images than those shot in the confined space of a studio. A great shoot girls – hope you like the pics.

I was much nearer to home for Thursday afternoon’s shoot – just a five minute drive from my studio in fact! I met up with Louise, Carl and their gorgeous little dog Poppy for a lifestyle portrait shoot. Louise and Carl wanted some really natural shots of themselves and of course little Poppy, who holds a very special place in their hearts. Poppy was a little star, she was so well behaved and actually posed for the camera!! I have been thinking just lately of getting a little puppy myself, and after seeing Poppy I really think I will.

The lovely Anne Brown of Tiaras and Flowers has recently opened her beautiful new shop, ‘The Flower Byre’ at the Heart of the Country Village. Anne had asked me to take some images of her shop and products, for her to use to promote her gorgeous new shop on the website and in her advertising literature. Anne is such a talented florist who specialises in wedding flowers, and who also designs and hand makes beautiful tiaras. With a florist, a jewellers, a bridal boutique, and of course yours truly, a photographer, we really are like a little wedding village here at the Heart of the Country Village at Swinfen! If you are getting married be sure to come along and visit us, in this beautiful setting in the Staffordshire countryside, just two miles from Lichfield.

Meryl – Lifestyle Portrait Shoot - Northampton

On Friday I was in Northampton for a Lifestyle Portrait Shoot with lovely eight year old Meryl. She was a little unsure what to expect when her Mum told her that she wanted her to have some photographs taken, but she took to it like a little star. She soon began suggesting poses that might be nice and even produced her clarinet and played a tune for me. What a lovely thoughtful little girl – I hope you like the pics Meryl and Mum.

My Beautiful New Baby Boy – Dylan

On Monday morning my beautiful, new baby boy Dylan came home for the first time. He is soooo beautiful that I can’t bear to take my eyes off him. He is so good, he loves his little bed and he adores ‘Baby’ (not as much as he adores me though!!! Baby is his cuddly toy cheetah. He pulls Baby into his little bed and snuggles down to sleep with him in his paws. Dylan is a beautiful English Cocker Spaniel puppy and he is nine weeks old. He is full of fun but he is so good and I LOVE him. When he is a little bigger he will be coming to the studio with me during the day. I know he will love the woodland walk adjacent to the studio, and everyone at the Heart of the Country Village is dying to meet him.

Louis – Lifestyle Shoot – Warwick

I spent a lovely afternoon on a Lifestyle Shoot on Monday with Louis who is six years old. We had a great, fun shoot, chatting all the while. Louis was telling me all about his pets – a cat, a hamster and goldfish and we even went hunting for frogs in his neighbours back garden.

Holly & Joseph – Lifestyle Portrait Shoot - Northampton

I first photographed Holly and Joseph about 2 years ago, and was over the moon to be asked to do a further shoot now they are older. They had grown so much and were still really great to photograph – they were fab. They are both keen sports fans and Holly still supports Chelsea (best not tell my Dad!) Since my last visit they have acquired a new member to the family – Simba. Simba is a 4 month old Husky/Collie cross puppy. I say puppy but he was literally 10 times the size of my puppy Dylan!!! He is beautiful but must eat them out of house and home! Lovely to see you again Holly and Joseph and it was great to catch up on all your news.

Bailey – Lifestyle Portrait Shoot – Kent

It has been a very busy week or two for me on the Portrait front. With the Easter holidays and the children off school, I have had a full diary again this week. On Thursday I was in Kent for two shoots, the morning one being with 15 year old Bailey. Bailey is really into his music and although we chatted about ‘The Kings of Leon’ and ‘The Killers’ his favourites are more my brother’s tastes, ‘Bloc Party’ and the like. I don’t think that he was really looking forward to the shoot, but once he realised that I wasn’t some old fogey of a photographer, he got a little more into the shoot, and I think some pics may even appear on his Facebook page!

Blake – Lifestyle Portrait Shoot – Kent

Blake was a joy to work with! I really enjoyed my shoot with him as he was so lovely and such a happy boy. He certainly had the biggest smile and he loved having his photograph taken. He checked out the back of the camera after each shot, to see and admire each pic of himself. He made sure that his Mom and Grandparents weren’t left out of the shots either, everyone had to join in! Blake loves anything to do with the TV show ‘Casualty’ and we were soon chatting about ‘Charlie, Josh and Dixie’. He is amazing he knew so much about the series. It was a long journey home on the M25 that evening, but shoots like this really make my day.

Little Saskia

Last weekend I met little Saskia. She is gorgeous and such a happy little girl. She loved having her photograph taken and although she is not even 2 years old for another couple of weeks, she wasn’t daunted by the camera in the slightest. We went for a walk with her Mum and Dad to the little park near to their home to capture some natural shots of Saskia playing in her gorgeous pink boots! When we returned to the house, Saskia was keen to show me her collection of fabulous teddy bears. Her favourite is Barnaby Bear! She hugged him tightly and said “oooh I’ve missed you so much !!!” It makes me smile just to think of now – a week later!

Gemma & Jamie's Pre Wedding Shoot

I knew that I should have taken out a season ticket for Birmingham Botannical Gardens! Gemma and Jamie are the third couple in a few weeks to request the gardens as the location for their pre-wed shoot. I’m not surprised really, as the gardens are so beautiful and there are so many different backdrops to photograph. We had another gorgeous day and a lovely shoot, they are such a great couple.

Gemma and Jamie’s wedding is at the end of April at a gem of a venue – Blackbrook House in Derbyshire. I met up with Gemma again later in the week, this time we were joined by her Mum and we took a look around Blackbrook House. I always make a venue visit prior to a wedding even if it is a place where I have shot at many times before. Every couple have their own special thoughts about a venue and the reason that they chose it, so I always take a walk around with them to discuss their wedding day photography. As I mentioned earlier Blackbrook House is a gem, tucked away in the Derbyshire countryside. When you walk up the stone steps to the front door you would never believe what lies behind that door. It is quite simply beautiful.

Perfect Wedding Magazine – Real Life Wedding

Another of my weddings from last Summer is featured in the Real Life Weddings section of the March edition of ‘Perfect Wedding Magazine’. This is the second wedding I have had featured in just three months. I’m over the moon to have Claire and Huw’s wedding chosen as one of the magazine’s favourite weddings of the year. Claire and Huw were married in Worcester in June, and had a real eco-friendly wedding. Claire is a really keen gardener and chose the theme of her wedding to illustrate this. The table favours were beautifully wrapped flower seeds, picked by Claire from her own garden, and ivy leaves were hand decorated and used as name plates. It was such a pleasure to photograph Claire and Huw’s wedding and I know that they are thrilled to be “In Print”.

Jo and Guy' Pre Wedding Shoot – Greenwich Park, London

Down the motorway again, third pre wed shoot in as many days, this time to meet up with Jo and Guy, who live in London and whose wedding I am photographing in August. Jo and Guy are getting married at Sudbury Hall, followed by a reception at Repton School in Derbyshire (quite a celebrity wedding venue recently!)

We met for Jo and Guy’s Pre-Wed shoot in the beautiful Royal Park at Greenwich. We had a lovely relaxed shoot in such a beautiful location. The park is stunning, and if you live in London what a wonderful place to have right on your doorstep. Sunday morning was absolutely buzzing there. The park was full of people out for a Sunday stroll, walking the dog or just jogging. When you don’t live in London you can be guilty of standing, staring, amazed at the things that Londoners don’t even bat an eyelid at. I saw a woman jogger in some sort of harness contraption which her “trainer” was trying to restrain her with !!! and then there was a man on skis – on the pathway in the park !!! - I was almost tempted to join in but then thought better of it and went and ate my bar of chocolate instead !

Esther and Wade's Pre Wedding Shoot – Bristol Docklands

Just over a week ago I travelled down to Bristol to see Esther and Wade whose wedding I am photographing in June. Esther is from Bristol and met Australian Wade while she was working in Australia, and since then they have travelled all around the world together before returning to Bristol. Their ceremony is being held aboard the S.S. Great Britain and what a fabulous setting – who would believe that a ship could be so beautiful. After the ceremony we will then travel down the River Avon aboard a specially chartered ferry boat to Beeses Tea Gardens where the celebrations are being held. There is certainly never a dull moment being a wedding photographer – no two weddings are ever the same.

The Pre-Wed shoot gave me chance to check out both venues for Esther and Wade’s wedding and then we got some great shots in the Docklands in Bristol. I love the backdrops for these photographs - the vibrant colours and different textures.

Louisa and Stuart's Pre Wedding Shoot – Painswick Rococo Gardens, Gloucestershire

I had chance to visit the beautiful Rococo Gardens again last week. The gardens are a treasure trove of gorgeous little summer houses and ornate features – I love it. I was there with Louisa and Stuart whose wedding I am photographing in April. Their wedding ceremony will be taking place in the Private Chapel of Abbots Bromley Girls’ School, and afterwards they will be celebrating with their guests at the wonderful Somerford Hall.

We had a great morning, and Louisa and Stuart were so relaxed considering they are not only planning a wedding, but were actually in the middle of moving house !! What a fab couple and I know we will have a great day in April because they are so lovely.

National Wedding Show – NEC – 13th - 15th March – Stand B43

It’s National Wedding show time again !! It’s very hectic and can be quite stressful, but is so worthwhile. If you have never visited the show before – then be prepared !! Over the three day show between 15,000 – 17,000 visitors come through the doors (most of those on Saturday – oh no !! Seriously, everything wedding wise is on show there and you can get so many ideas for your big day. I know that some of the couples who booked with me at the last show will be visiting again, and have said they will stop by to say hello – so I look forward to seeing you again.

Becky and Adrian’s Pre-Wed Shoot

I really love my job and to meet up with another great couple for their pre-wed shoot made last Sunday such a fab day. Becky and Adrian live in London but are being married at Prestwold Hall in Leicestershire in April. They had travelled up from London for their shoot at the Botanical Gardens, somewhere they had never visited before, and said that they were amazed just how beautiful it is. They are such a lovely couple and we had such a fun shoot, and I just know that their wedding is going to be a favourite of mine. Becky couldn’t look at Adrian without laughing, but it really helped with their nerves as they soon forgot all about the camera and just enjoyed the afternoon. Charlotte and Declan’s Pre-Wed Shoot

Last sunday was a beautiful sunny day, and Spring had certainly sprung at Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens. I love to use the gardens as a setting for portrait shoots and this weekend I was lucky enough to have two shoots arranged there.

Charlotte and Declan are being married at Hogarth’s in Solihull in May and I’m really looking forward to it, as it will be my first wedding at this venue. I love visiting a new venue and checking out all the new photo possibilities. Charlotte and Declan are a great couple and I knew from first meeting them at the National Wedding Show back in 2007 that they would be great to work with. We had a lovely morning shoot on Sunday and it really gave me chance to really get to know them. Balvinder & Matt's Wedding - 14th February

My first wedding of the year and such a lovely one to photograph. Balvinder and Matt were married at Swinfen Hall in a wonderfully romantic ceremony on Valentine’s Day. Balvinder’s amazing red gown was complimented by traditional Asian jewellery and intricate henna hand designs - she looked beautiful. Swinfen Hall was adorned with red – hearts, flowers, petals scattered on the tables – what a wonderful setting for a Valentine’s Day wedding. Mmmmm… was I in great company at the Swinfen Hall Open Day !!! I have seen his cake masterpieces on quite a few occasions, but I finally had chance to meet the man himself – Ben The Cake Man. His cakes are more like works of art than just cakes and what a great guy as well. As anyone who knows me will already be aware, I am a cake-a-holic !!! I had some gorgeous cupcake themed gifts for Christmas and they were my favourite gifts of all this year. The cake bites that Ben had available for sampling were soon devoured (No, not by me !).

Swinfen Hall Open Day

What a great day! Swinfen Hall in all it’s glory – set out just as it would be for a wedding - beautiful. I was lucky enough to be placed in the grand Ballroom, along with some wonderful suppliers – cakes, flowers, stationery etc. After exhibiting at some major wedding fayres – it was such a nice change to be in such a relaxed, refined setting. I met with some great couples and had such a good day. A big, big thank you to the couples who booked with me, and I’m really looking forward to meeting up again with those who have booked a consultation. It is certainly handy being right next door at the Heart of the Country Village, as everyone visiting the Open Day knew exactly where my studio was – so no directions needed! Kate & Steve's Pre Wedding Shoot

Another great shoot, this time with Kate and Steve who are getting married in May at Packington Moor. They had specially asked for their pre-wed shoot to be done at Bradgate Country Park in Leicestershire. I hadn’t visited Bradgate before, but Kate had told me that the views were breathtaking. I certainly wasn’t disappointed, and yes - they were breathtaking (literally!!!) I joined a gym last Summer – full of good intentions (as you do) – if only I had kept up with the visits for more than the first two weeks I would have been fine !!! Seriously, what a fabulous place, and certainly a location I will use again.

Esther & Lee's Pre Wedding Shoot

I really enjoyed Esther and Lee’s lovely, relaxed photo shoot right in the heart of Lichfield. For those of you who don’t know Lichfield, it is certainly worth a visit just to see our stunning catherdral. I love to use it’s wonderful stonework and gorgeous carved doors in my photographs when I can. After getting some great shots around the catherdral, we wandered over to Darwin’s Garden to capture a real contrast in scenery.

Esther and Lee are getting married in April at the beautiful St. Chad’s church in Lichfield, and are then holding their reception at Swinfen Hall. It is always lovely to travel and photograph weddings up and down the country, but I never tire of covering weddings right here at home. We are so lucky to have so many beautiful little churches and some really fabulous country houses here in Staffordshire.

New Look Studio

After several weeks of renovations my studio is finally finished - hoorah!!!

For those of you who don't already know, my studio is housed in converted 17th century farm buildings at The Heart of the Country Village, in Lichfield, Staffordshire. I have tried to keep as many of the original features as possible, but have complimented them with a contemporary touch. My clients can now come in and relax on my big comfy sofa and enjoy a cup of coffee, while they watch a slideshow on the big screen. I have a great selection of beautiful Queensberry albums and lots of products on display for you to come and see. Danielle and Steve’s Wedding – 29th December

My last wedding of 2008 and perhaps rather fitting that the reception should be at my ‘next door neighbours’ – Swinfen Hall. I know that I have said it many times before, but I feel so lucky that my studio is right next door to such a beautiful Georgian mansion, and I absolutely love photographing weddings there. Danielle and Steve were married in the beautiful little church of St. Thomas in Walton-on-the-Hill in Staffordshire, and then travelled over to Swinfen Hall to celebrate with their friends and families.

Christmas time at Swinfen Hall is just wonderful. The enormous, beautifully decorated Christmas trees have to be seen to be believed. Danielle and Steve said that as they love Christmas time so much, there was never any doubt about the time of year they wanted to get married. It was a lovely way to end 2008 and I am really looking forward to all the great weddings to come in 2009. Happy New Year.

Jo and Martin’s Wedding – 20th December 2008

On the Saturday before Christmas I travelled to North Yorkshire to photograph the beautiful wedding of Jo and Martin. In an earlier blog entry I had mentioned my thoughts about my first visit to Goldsborough Hall near Harrogate. On this my second visit, the impact the Hall has on you as you approach it via the long gravel drive, is no less impressive – it is just beautiful. I love all weddings (I suppose that is an essential part of being a wedding photographer !!!) but when we have a beautiful setting, steeped in history, I am in my element. The Hall looked stunning, decorated with Christmas trees, garlands and candles, and the ceremony was just beautiful.

Late December in Yorkshire was so cold, but Jo was prepared - whatever the weather !!! She wore a gorgeous stole around her shoulders, and then when it came to the outdoor shots – a funky pair of wellies replaced her elegant bridal shoes !!! Hope you have had a wonderful Christmas Jo and Martin.

Real Life Wedding – Perfect Wedding Magazine

Julie and Ian celebrated their marriage at New Hall Hotel in Sutton Coldfield in May. They are absolutely over the moon to be chosen by Perfect Wedding, and even though we all knew that their wedding was just perfect, it is extra nice to have a national magazine agree with you ! Looking Back at 2008

As 2008 draws to a close I have been thinking back to all the wonderful weddings that I have photographed this year. I have travelled up and down the country, and I even photographed my first destination wedding this year. I have had the pleasure of photographing weddings in tiny village chapels followed by receptions in marquees on the lawns of proud parents homes. Beautiful ceremonies like the wedding of Karen and Daniel which took place in the Royal chapel within the Tower of London and afterwards at the exquisite Trinity House, and those in grand stately homes followed by fantasic banquets.

Next year I have more wonderful weddings to look forward to, and at some exciting new venues for me - Somerford Hall, Sudbury Hall, Fawsley Hall, Prestwold Hall, Rowton Castle, Ettington Park and even S.S. Great Britain. There are many old favourites of mine to look forward to as well, Swinfen Hall, Packington Moor, New Hall Hotel and Moxhull Hall, to name just a few. I have just two more weddings left now before before the end of December. I travel to North Yorkshire this weekend for Jo and Martin’s wedding at the beautiful Goldborough Hall near Harrogate, and then it’s back to Swinfen Hall at the end of the month for the wedding of Danielle and Steve.

Well 2008 has certainly been a busy year, both work wise and studio wise. March saw me moving studios from Birmingham, to nearer my home in beautiful Lichfield, and just last week the refurbishment of my converted barn studio was completed. Just my new art work to be displayed now, and I will be ready to face the New Year. Best wishes to all my clients, past and present – Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Danielle and Adriano’s Wedding - 29th November

Danielle and Adriano’s big day had arrived !!! So much planning had gone into their wedding that it was always going to be just perfect. Danielle looked so beautiful with her gorgeous faux fur wrap around her shoulders to keep out the cold November weather. The ceremony took place at the stunning Erdington Abbey, which looked even more beautiful than ever, as it had been dressed with masses and masses of flowers. Danielle and Adriano were joined by their friends and family for their fantastic celebrations at Packington Moor. Most of Adriano’s family had travelled all the way from Italy to be a part of the celebrations. The food was absolutely amazing, and we were treated to course after course, following Italian tradition. The photographs that I took have to be some of my favourites from this year, and I know that Danielle and Adriano can’t wait to see them.

Winter Wonderland

At the Heart of the Country Village we held our Winter Wonderland Charity Event on the 3rd December, in aid of Birmingham Children’s Hospital. We had a fantastic evening, with Lichfield Cathedral Chamber Choir in attendance, Santa’s Grotto and REAL reindeer, craft stalls, mulled wine and much, much more. On the night itself we raised in excess of £1,400 and the cash is still coming in, the total so far is £1655.59.

How Cute is Sam !!!

My latest shoot was this weekend, with little Sam and his parents Lyndsey and Steve. How cute is Sam !!! He is just so sweet and so well behaved. He loved having his picture taken and was mesmerised by the sight of the camera. It was such a cold and wet day on Sunday that I had thought about re-scheduling, but I knew Lyndsey and Steve wanted some lovely pics of Sam to give as Christmas gifts. I decided to leave it until the last minute and thankfully the rain stopped, and the sun came out just long enough to get some lovely outdoor shots, as well as the gorgeous ones taken of Sam indoors.

It seems to be lots and lots of little boys that I am photographing lately, and just when I was saying to a friend “where are all the girls ?” My phone rang literally minutes later, and I took a booking for a portrait shoot for a little 2 year old girl. I can’t wait – I wonder if she has any fairy wings !!!

One of my most favourite commercial shoots ever !!! I was lucky enough to be asked to photograph the products for a wonderful new company Katryoshka. The immensely talented designer Katharina Stubbs and renouned local artist Emma Hunk have joined forces to launch their new Lifestyle Products business. Kat and Emma have sourced amazing products from all around the world, and along with their own designs and pieces of art, I am sure that their new business venture will be a sure fire success.

Everything was shot at Emma’s amazing 17th century Staffordshire home, an Aladdin’s cave of wonderfully unique furniture and art. This shoot certainly didn’t feel like work – I loved it and was entrigued by each and every item. There are so many new gifts now added to my Christmas list !!! Great Family Portrait Shoot

Another great portrait shoot that I shot a couple of weekends ago was with the Alcott family. Louise had been in to see me at my studio a few before and had booked a Lifestyle Portrait Session. She wanted to give her parents some lovely natural family pics as a Ruby Wedding gift. The family had travelled from as far away as Newcastle upon Tyne to be a part of the fun. The kids were great, and with two 5 year olds, one 4 year old and a 1 year old, you could say that we certainly had a lot of fun. This is the advantage of shooting on location, the kids get to be themselves, running around and enjoying themselves, rather than being confined to a studio.

Last weekend I travelled over to Nottinghamshire for a pre-wed shoot with Charlotte and David, whose wedding I am photographing next year at Thrumpton Hall. The shoot took place in Charlotte’s parents beautiful garden, which has wonderful views over Nottingham. With Thrumpton Hall, a beautiful Jacobean stately home rightly known as the ‘Jewell of the Midlands’ as the setting, it should be a wonderful wedding.

Liz and Adrian – The Lake District

Last week I went up to Cumbria for a pre-wed shoot with Liz and Adrian, whose wedding I am photographing at Packington Moor next year. Last week I travelled up to Yorkshire to meet up with Jo, Martin and baby Jacob. I am photographing Jo and Martin’s wedding this Christmas at the majestic Goldsborough Hall. What a fantastic setting for a wedding at any time of year, but at Christmas it will be extra magical. As I drove up the gravel drive and caught my first glimpse – I fell in love with Goldsborough Hall. It is absolutely beautiful. I am so excited, as when I see it again it will be decorated for Christmas, with trees, garlands, and candles, and Jo and Martin’s beautiful wedding will be taking place there. I can hardly wait !!!

Emma and Steve – Post Wedding Party

I was lucky enough to be flown out to photograph Emma and Steve’s beautiful wedding in Cyprus in September, and they had also asked me to cover their post wedding party back in England. They had a arranged a great night at The Barns, Cannock Chase, for all those who travelled to Cyprus with them, but especially for those who weren’t able to see them married. During the celebrations the guests were able to watch a slideshow of the wedding images that I had taken. Emma and Steve are so lovely and it has been great getting to know them. I really feel like one of the family as this is the third shoot I have done for them. They have also promised that when they have children they will ask me to come back to photograph the Christening. They loved their pre-wed and wedding day images, and I am sure they will think the same about the ones taken at their party.

Sarah and Alex – Cannock Chase Forest

Autumn in England is so beautiful - cold - but beautiful !!! Last weekend “the big coat” finally had to come out for Sarah and Alex’s pre-wed shoot in Cannock Chase Forest. It was worth braving the cold as we got some gorgeous pictures, and the Autumn colours were stunning. Sarah and Alex are being married next year at Moxhull Hall in Warwickshire, another beautiful venue which is just a few minutes drive from my studio. Moxhull Hall has happy memories for me, as I shot my first ever wedding there years ago, and I can remember it as if it were yesterday.

Oliver and His Best Friend

I had a lovely portrait shoot recently with little Oliver, his family, and his best friend in the whole wide world – his Grandma’s dog, Indie or as Oliver would say "D". We had been having a great time, getting some beautiful shots, then along the garden path came Oliver’s little four legged friend. It is quite obvious to see that they are absolutely devoted to each other. After Oliver had greeted his pal with lots of cuddles and kisses, the fun really began. It seems that Oliver loves riding on Grandpa’s shoulders, and with doggy friend in tow, they all race around the garden together, ducking under the rose arches on the way round. We were all laughing so much, it was really funny, and it is days like this that make my job so great.

Jane, Bridget and Alison – Lifestyle Portrait Shoot

I have travelled so many miles these last few weeks, that it made a nice change to have a lovely local shoot in Solihull. I met up with Jane and her daughters, Bridget and Alison, for a portrait shoot in Jane’s beautiful garden. The advantage of shooting on location as I do, is that everyone is so relaxed in familiar surroundings, and this makes for some great natural images. It is always nice to meet up with people who have booked by phone, finally being able to put a face to a name. Jane wanted some special pictures taken with her daughters, and I think I have captured just what she wanted.

Honey Coles Bridal Boutique

Last month I was asked to take some photographs of a new bridal boutique that had opened in Abbotts Bromley in Staffordshire called Honey Cole.

When I arrived and walked into the shop I was amazed at what I saw. I felt like I was walking into another world, it has to be one of the most beautiful shops that I have been in.

I was greeted by Bev who instantly made me feel so welcome. Bev had thought of everything when putting her boutique together fantastic shoes, accessories, jewellery, tiaras and not to mention some of the most stunning bridal dresses that I have ever seen. Stocking designers such as Alan Hannah, Lyn Ashworth, David Fielden and Augusta Jones, brides are spoilt for choice. As I walked around the shop taking photographs I would see a dress and instantly say thats my favourite, then a few minutes later I would go “ this ONE is my favourite”, I was getting so excited at the prospect of trying on all of these dresses and then I suddenly remembered that I am not getting married, but I certainly know where to go when I am.

Owen's Favourite Friends

I have just done a fantastic shoot in Birmingham, with little Owen. When I arrived, Owen had just woken from his afternoon nap, but he wasn’t the slightest bit fazed by a stranger with a camera entering his home. He immediately got down to the important business of introducing me to all his friends – Terry the cuddly monkey, big bear, Tiger and everyone else. We had so much fun, watering the plants in his garden, playing with the leaves in the park, and seeing the sights around the area where he lives. I wish all my photo shoots could be this much fun.

Jodie's Lifestyle Session

A couple of weeks ago, I met up with Jodie for a lifestyle photographic session. Her Mum had arranged this for her, and just as most people are, Jodie was initially quite nervous. Once we got into the shoot she found that it wasn’t quite as scary as she had thought it would be, and really enjoyed it. I got some beautiful shots of Jodie (it helps that she is absolutely stunning), and some of my favourites are of her with her dog Maisie, and her horse.

Emma & Steve's Wedding - 16th September 2008

I have hardly had chance to catch my breath this week. After travelling back from London on Sunday morning, I flew out to Cyprus a few hours later. Emma and Steve were married in a beautiful ceremony on a yacht in Paphos. Emma looked amazing, just how every bride dreams of looking on her wedding day. We set sail after the ceremony and travelled around the coast until late in the evening. Everything was just beautiful – the sea was calm – a lovely warm evening – great food – wonderful company, and then before we sailed back into harbour – a fantastic firework display. I would love to do this every day of the week please !!!! Any chance of an anniversary shoot same time, same place, next year Emma and Steve ?

Karen & Daniel's Wedding - 13th September 2008

What a wonderful wedding !!! Karen and Daniel were married in the Chapel Royal of St. Peter ad Vincula within grounds of the Tower of London, and after the ceremony they celebrated with their family and friends at the magnificent Trinity House. As Daniel is a Captain in the Royal Fusiliers, he and Karen were honoured with a ceremonial Guard of Honour from members of his regiment as they left the chapel. Later in Trinity House, we were treated to a magnificent display by the Regimental Drummers – who performed in almost pitch darkness !!! All I can say is WOW !!! Talk about a day to remember – it is certainly a day I will never forget. Karen and Daniel had even arranged for me to eat with their guests (greatly appreciated !!!) and sat me with a Captain and a Major from Daniel’s regiment. I met some of the nicest people ever and was made to feel so welcome by everyone. Karen and Daniel are a really fab couple and I can’t wait to show them their pics. Thanks for asking me to be your photographer Karen and Daniel, I loved every minute of it.

Susan & Nigel's Wedding - 7th September 2008

I absolutely loved photographing Susan and Nigel’s wedding. Dormy House is a venue I know very well, and it is in such a beautiful setting. Luckily it had not been affected by the flooding in that area just a few days before !!! Susan and Nigel are such a great couple, and Alex (Nigel’s daughter) was my brilliant little helper for the day. She made sure the other bridesmaids and the guests were kept in check !!! Thanks Alex. It was a really lovely, chilled out wedding and everyone was so friendly. Susan and Alex, you both looked beautiful ! Danielle & Adriano's Pre Wedding Shoot

Last Sunday, I met up with Danielle and Adrianno who are getting married at the end of November. We had a great morning up at Packington Moor, which is one of my most favourite venues, another near neighbour of mine and a venue which I know very well. Although Packington is beautiful at any time of year, they really wanted their pre-wed shoot there as well so that they could have some images of the venue at it’s most beautiful in the Summer. I am really looking forward to Danielle and Adriano’s wedding, as not only is the reception at Packington Moor, but the ceremony is being held at Erdington Abbey, and the interior is breathtakingly beautiful. Adriano’s parents are Italian and many of their family are flying in from Italy especially for the wedding, so I am sure the celebrations will be wonderful.

Amy & Greg's Wedding - 29th August 2008

The setting for Amy and Greg’s wedding was my majestic neighbour, Swinfen Hall. If I peep through the trees I can almost see the Hall from my studio it is that close ! I love Swinfen Hall – it is just beautiful and the perfect setting for Amy and Greg’s wedding. Amy wanted her wedding to really suit the elegant setting of Swinfen Hall and chose the theme of her wedding accordingly. Their ceremony was held at the beautiful St. Michael’s Church, Lichfield, and then Greg who works for the Jaguar car company drove his new Bride and himself to Swinfen Hall in a fabulous top of the range sports car, which his employers had loaned him specially for his wedding day. What an amazing day, and an added bonus at the end of my day, as I live locally I am home in five minutes !!!

Wow, it has been a mega hectic few weeks for me, and it is only now that I have had a chance to update my blog. To be a wedding photographer there is no denying that you have to be able to multi task. After shooting four weddings in one week (three of those being in as many days), carrying out pre-wed shoots and also meeting up with new clients, my abilities have certainly been put to the test. I am happy to say that I have survived and am here to tell the tale. What a great time I have had, each wedding couldn’t have been more different from the one before, so I feel that I have probably covered almost every type possible.

Emma & Steve’s Pre-Wed Shoot – Shrugborough Hall

What a fun couple ! We had a great time, and I don’t think we stopped laughing all the way through the shoot. Emma and Steve are being married in a couple of weeks time, on a yacht in Cyprus, and yes they are flying me out there to cover their wedding (whose a lucky girl then !) They came into my new studio the first weekend I opened, and after having a chat and seeing some of my albums, they said that they would love me to shoot their wedding. I can hardly wait, and I know that we are going to get some fabulous images. See you in Cyprus, Emma and Steve.

Angie & Ainsley – 22nd August 2008

I was really looking forward to Angie and Ainsley’s wedding, not only because they are such a great couple, but their wedding was going to be so ultra trendy. They were married in a beautiful ceremony at St. Paul’s Church in Birmingham city centre, and then had exclusive use of the fabulous Opus restaurant for the evening. Opus is Angie and Ainsley's absolute favourite restaurant, and they decided that there was no other place that they would rather celebrate their wedding with their family and friends, than there. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was great and Angie and Ainsley were so happy. I love the images taken and I am sure that they will too.

Sarah & Mark – 23rd August 2008

Sarah and Mark were married in a beautiful little village church followed by a fabulous reception at Sarah’s parents' home, Abberton Hall in Worcestershire. When Sarah and Mark became engaged a year ago, Sarah’s parents had only recently become the owners of Abberton Hall, and they really wanted the beautiful house to be the setting for their wedding. They knew that there was a lot of renovation work needed to get it ready, but Sarah’s parents were marvellous, and after a very hectic twelve months Abberton Hall was looking absolutely stunning. The magnificent marquee in the grounds was amazing, and after what had been a wonderful day, Sarah’s parents had one final surprise for the happy couple. They had arranged for a firework display in the grounds of Abberton Hall. What a fabulous end to a perfect day.

Karen & Mark – 24th August 2008

Riber Hall in Derbyshire was the setting for Karen and Mark’s wedding. We had carried out their pre-wed shoot at Riber Hall earlier in the year, and their images made for some of my all time favourites. We were caught in a sudden snow storm, but carried on shooting regardless and the pictures were so surreal, they looked wonderful. Karen and Mark asked me to try and recapture some of the same images, but obviously seasons apart – the difference in the landscape is breathtaking ! The couple had decided on a black and white theme for their wedding, and everthing looked absolutely amazing. Karen looked beautiful, her dress has to be one of my favourites and she wore a stunning vintage tiara. The bridesmaids wore elegant black evening gowns and really funky shoes (I want a pair, they were fab !) and all the men wore tuxedos. It was a wonderfully chilled out reception, with hilarious speeches and great entertainment. Everyone (including me) had such a great time.

Robyn & James's Wedding - 8th August 2008

Robyn and James are such a lovely couple and I was so pleased when then asked me to photograph their wedding and also their black tie ball which took place the following evening. Their wedding ceremony took place at Bicester Registry Office and was celebrated afterwards with a reception at the Bignell Park Hotel for their family and close friends.

Their wonderful black tie ball was held the following evening in a marquee in the grounds of their home in Milton Keynes, and what a fantastic event it was. Robyn and James had arranged for their guests to be entertained throughout the evening by a series of bands and singers, who covered all genres of music from the 50s through to the present day. The champagne flowed and the guests were even treated to an oxygen bar. A good time was certainly had by all.

I was very excited this morning when I arrived at my studio there was a copy of the new issue of Perfect Wedding Magazine waiting for me. I love my editorial and would like to say a big thanks to Holly Johnson on the Editorial team at Perfect Weddings for the help with the design and layout and Hannah Sookias for helping me with the editing of the text. The issue should be out in the shops over the next couple of days so please go and buy a copy and have a read.

Jose & Richard's Wedding - 26th July 2008

I have joked with some couples, saying that if I have had to postpone a pre wed shoot due to the bad weather conditions that we have had recently, then usually the weather on their wedding day is nice. Well this is exactly what happened for Jose & Richard's Wedding on Saturday. A couple of months ago we decided to rearrange their pre wedding shoot at the Birmingham Botanical gardens, due to torrential rain on the day and on Saturday we had the hottest and sunniest day so far this year. This must be a pure coincidence otherwise I would make a fortune being able to predict the weather (shame I can't predict the Lottery numbers).

Jose & Richard got married on Saturday at Brandon Hall in Coventry. It was a fantastic day and all the planning and effort that they put in was definitely worth it. They had a beautiful ornate iron arch covered in purple clematis in the ceremony room, games on the lawn such as giant Jenga, croquet, and giant football and even a magician to entertain their guests. The groom is a graphic designer and had spent the last year designing all of the invites, order of services, menus, table plans etc which looked fantastic. I mentioned to Jose and Richard that I enjoyed shooting their wedding so much that it didn't actually feel like work and I really felt part of the day with the help from all their friends and family. I cant wait to start working on their album, as I am sure we will achieve some wonderful results.

Gemma & Paul's Wedding - 19th July 2008

The beautiful St Alphege Church in Solihull was the setting for the ceremony of Gemma and Paul's Wedding. Their reception was at St John's Hotel in Solihull, which brought back at lot of memories for me as I was a bridesmaid here when I was 7 years old for my Cousin's wedding (A long time ago now and it has definitely changed a lot). I can't wait to show them the photos when they get back from their honeymoon but here are a few to tide their friends and family over until the full gallery goes online.

Helen & Mark's Wedding - 21st June 2008

I met Helen & Mark a few months ago when I did a baby shoot for their beautiful daughter Beatrix. They told me all about their fantastic plans for their wedding which was coming up and I was extremely lucky to have the opportunity to photograph this. It has definitely been one of my favourite weddings ever. They held their reception at Helen's parents' house, Packington Hall Farm which is just down the road from my studio. As you will see from the photos below the decorations were stunning and I have never seen a marquee look so amazing. They had thought of everything and had even set up a camping area in the farm grounds so that guests who wanted to brave the weather could stay over night and enjoy the BBQ which was planned for the following day.

I would just like to thank Helen, Mark & Beatrix and all their family and friends for making me feel so welcome on the wedding day and can't wait for Beatrix to get a little bigger so I can take some more photos of her.

Angie & Ainsley's Pre Wedding Shoot

Last week I met up with Angie & Ainsley whose wedding I am photographing in August. We visited Packwood House, near Solihull, where we had a great time walking through the gardens and getting some great images. This was the first time that I had visited Packwood House and I couldn't believe how stunning the gardens were and I will definitely be using it again for shoots.

As promised, below are a few images from Claire & James's Wedding which took place last Friday. The ceremony was held at a beautiful little church in Alrewas, where I have had the pleasure of covering several weddings over the past few years. Packington Moor Farm, the venue for their wedding celebrations was a perfect setting for a relaxed sunny afternoon, with the guests out on the lawn drinking champagne and enjoying the gorgeous canapes.

Claire & James are at present on honeymoon in the Maldives, and I have inside information that they have been checking my blog whilst sunbathing on the beach, hoping to catch a glimpse of the pics. So Claire & James here is a sneak preview, but I'm afraid that you will have to wait until you get back to see the rest.

Amy & Greg's Pre Wedding Shoot

Amy & Greg have had a busy few weeks, not only have they been trying to organise their own wedding for August, but Amy's brother got married on Friday where she was also bridesmaid. Claire & Huw's Wedding - 24th May 2008

I first met Claire & Huw last summer when I did a portrait shoot for them and I was over the moon when they got in touch with me several months later and asked me to be their wedding photographer. Their wedding took place at The Fownes Hotel in Worcester on what turned out to be a beautiful sunny day. As Claire is a really keen gardener, it came as no surprise that the wedding reception had a floral theme. Each table was decorated with a different type of flower, all place names were beautifully written on leaves and each guest received a gift of sunflower seeds collected by Claire from their own garden. I cant wait for Claire & Huw to return from honeymoon so that I can show them their images.

This is a sneak preview of Julie & Ian's wedding at New Hall Hotel from last Friday, I will post more images as soon as they have viewed their slideshow when they get back from their Safari Honeymoon in Kenya. We were so lucky with the weather and the brollies only had to come out a couple of times, the sun finally came out just in time for us to take the group photos. There was a special surprise for Ian the Groom who is a finalist in the Knorr Chef of the Year competition 2008 (A previous winner was Gordon Ramsey) with the reception having a chef theme, with all the tables named after celebrity chefs and top table being named after Ian himself, and the food looked fabulous.

As many of you know I have been extremely busy up and down the country this week with baby shoots, Wedding Consultations and quite a few pre wedding shoots. This manic week started last Sunday with possibly one of my favourite shoots this year, Karen & Marks Pre wedding Shoot at Riber Hall in Derbyshire. It was definitely the weirdest weather conditions that I have ever had on a photo-shoot, we had brilliant sunshine but it was snowing quite heavy, it did make fantastic photos though, so I cant complain.

New Studio - Now Open!

After a lot of hard work my new Studio at the Heart of the Country Village in Swinfen, Near Lichfield is now open. I officially opened the doors on Friday and it has been a very busy Easter weekend.
The Heart of the Country Village is beautiful. There are lots of little shops and restaurants here, even a Wedding Dress Shop and a Jewellers, so if you are getting married you can plan half of your wedding here at the centre.
The Studio is open Tuesday to Sunday 10am-5pm and Bank Holiday Mondays. Please pop in and have a look around if you are passing.

You could never say that a photographers job is boring. Yesterday I travelled to Liverpool to do a Lifestyle shoot for Charlotte & Lydia. This turned out to be a really fun afternoon, covering everything from Karaoke, High School Musical to Fairy wands and tutus. Whilst in London I got the chance to photograph the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls & Boys new offices which are in Freemasons Hall in Great Queen Street. The architecture was amazing and apparently the new BBC 1 series of Spooks starts filming here next week.

I would just like to thank everyone who came and saw me on the 17th February at the Newstead Abbey Wedding Fayre in Nottinghamshire, at the Dunchurch Park Wedding Fayre on the 24th February in Warwickshire and at Colwick Hall on the 16th March..
